Be a Leader, Not a Follower
Courage is the ability to follow your dreams, regardless of the opinions of others. Real men and women follow their dreams, never ending the pursuit until victory is owned. Many people waste their time seeking answer from so called gurus. I dare say, nay! Don’t be a follower! Be a leader! The meaning of life is to develop yourself! Your character, your grace, your beauty, elegance, strength, your consciousness. Becoming a better being, not wasting your life listening to these idiots! Having the guts to stand on your own feet, doing what others fear, and achieving success through your efforts! Not piggybacking on someone else. Obtaining boldness and bravery to be self-owned and pursue your goals, your dreams and not give a dame what anybody says! I don’t give rat’s behind who they are! It doesn’t matter how many millions they have or what they’ve done, it doesn’t give them the right to tell you what to do! Even if it is someone like Jesus! Those kinds of people teach you how you too can become a master, and refuse to be worshipped. What you do is hear people out. Take the good, discard the bad and move on. Integrate into your life and develop yourself. Being a follower forever will get you nowhere! You have to do things on your own sometimes. In a sane world, those who have wisdom would give advice, but there wouldn’t be any glorification. People sharing knowledge and helping each other become better in every way.
Great leaders in the past became so because they went against the rules. They broke all laws and used unconventional methods. You can’t rise above the average by following norms. Dare to go beyond that with unorthodox thinking. Look at all the great inventors in the past. They did what they did by going outside the system. If you what something better than the current system, you need to go beyond that or break away from it so you can create something better.
Standing up for yourself even though you‘re a nobody is really being a man. Even when Joseph Greenstein was dubbed the world’s strongest man at the time, Slim Farman didn’t back down or allow himself to be intimidated. Joe was giving a live performance where he was lecturing the crowd on their unclean living habits. The fire and bravery within Slim caused him to openly disagree with Joe in front of everyone. Challenging him, Joe demonstrated bending steel which Slim managed to replicate. Slim then did his unique feat of strength to which Joe could not do. Here’s a guy who was considered a nobody, just some peasant hammer man who worked on the rail and cutting stones that nobody cared or heard of. Yet, he did not accept some celebrity or anyone to be superior to him. That’s called a real man. When even though you’re an unknown, you still keep your self-respect and dignity. Never bow to anyone! Stand tall, don’t allow yourself to submit to some higher authority. The mighty lion is so because he will never let himself be enslaved by anyone! Iron bars may contain him, but not his spirit. His captors must always approach with caution for if they shall lose focus the wild cat will easily dispose of them. You really find yourself after you’ve lost it all.
Many great spirits have been imprisoned, tortured, and robed of all belonging. Everything had been taken, yet they come back stronger. Read Le Comte de Mont-Cristco. Those are real men, real role models, not the pathetic punk pimps you see on TV. They’re all fake, just all talk. Being a leader is holding your head high even if you are in a rut. People in the past have worked rut jobs or have been in tough situations yet they still believed in themselves and treated themselves as though they were as good or capable just like everyone else. Heck, some have been homeless, yet they still conquered their hardships and won in the end. Simply put, being a leader is following your heart without caring what anybody says. Be a warrior on the path to righteousness, and noble virtues!
School history books tell us how great Alexander was, but please consider for a moment this. What is Alexander the Great without his legion of armies? Answer, nothing, he’s just Alexander, just some little kid with a big ego. There was one meeting where Alexander went to a yogi in the Himalayas while he was in India. Boasting himself, Alexander tried to make the yogi bow to his greatness. He offered to give the yogi anything he desired. “You think you are all powerful? You thing you can give me anything? Fine, make the sun go away. If you can’t do that, then walk away,” replied the yogi. Alexander with his head down, left. You see develop the power of God within you. The yogi’s words were more powerful than any army Alexander faced and caused him to not dare say a word in response only to walk away in shame. Just before his death, he even admitted himself as nothing. “I started empty handed, I died empty handed,” something to remember.
